Crazy Christmas Spectacular! Okay, last one and then my Geek Gift photo spam will stop. Drinkware! I love these DC superhero drinking glasses and the Ghostbusters mug my parents gave me. The Christmas Vacation moose mug is really cool, but I am a little disappointed at how small the actual mug part is (it’s more like a shot glass) and how hard it is to actually drink out of. I bought the moose mug myself to take to my extended family’s Dirty Santa gift exchange. My plan was to get my own gift, and, aside from it briefly being stolen by my brother-in-law, my plan worked. I had already bought one for myself. I wanted a set of two.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! My other best friend, Justin, gave me these really cool, old E.T. figurines from 1982. These were released the same time as the movie. They’re little plastic guys. My favorite one is E.T. in the flannel shirt holding his beer. It’s the classic party shot with E.T.! In case you don’t remember, E.T. is my favorite movie ever.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! My best friend Robbie gave me Elvira’s Haunted Hills. I’ve never seen this one, but I love Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Elvira’s Movie Macabre. Robbie said he was got this because he knew how stoked I was to meet her at DragonCon. I gave Robbie a DragonCon ornament.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! My cool little sister and her husband gave me this great Superman clock. It’s so cool! It’s an old Superman comic (if I’m placing the art style right, it’s late 70s, maybe early 80s) over an old 45 record. The only problem is I don’t know where I’m going to put it! Jami Lyn, I need you to come over and help me decide.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! If you saw the ridiculous GPOYs I posted Christmas night, you’ve already seen my favorite Christmas gift I received this year. A Gryffindor scarf! My mom ordered it from this great knitter on Etsy. This week it’s finally cold enough to wear it, and I’m wearing it for the first time tomorrow morning. I’ve wanted a Gryffindor scarf since the first Harry Potter movie was released and I saw the scarves so I’m really excited about this gift.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! Since 2004, I have asked for the Complete Peanuts set from the previous year for Christmas. I love this series, even though I’m really far behind in reading it right now. There’s still four more years before the entire 50 years of strips have been reprinted. So far, the series is up through 1982, but I’m currently reading 1965. One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to read at least one month’s worth of strips before bed each night so I can get further along in the series.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! I participated in two online Secret Santas from different online communities I’ve been a part of for years. This is my third year doing one of them, and my first year doing the other. It’s really fun getting gifts from people you talk to online. The first Secret Santa gave me the first volume in Fantagraphics’ new Complete Carl Barks collection. I’ve been really excited for this book since it was announced and what I’ve read so far does not disappoint. He also gave me Muppets From Space which was one of the two Muppets movies I didn’t own. My other online Secret Santa fulfilled a childhood wish of wanting a stuffed Fozzie Bear. Fozzie is my favorite Muppet.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! Speaking of Peanuts, my way-cool friend Robyn gave me this Snoopy bobblehead. It’s also the only porcelain bobblehead I’ve ever owned.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! My older sister gave me this neat little Peanuts Nativity set. I like that the costumes are removable because then I have year-round Peanuts figures.

Crazy Christmas Spectacular! I love this Star Wars (specifically Return of the Jedi) shirt because it has Salacious Crumb and a Gamorrean guard on it. For that alone, this shirt will make me the envy of geeks everywhere. Of course, you can’t see either of them (except for Salacious Crumb’s ear) in this picture because they are covered up by the wicked cool Animal t-shirt.
