Crazy Christmas Spectacular!

Enjoying the last of the Sweetwater Festive Ale while watching Fellowship of the Ring (in honor of the Professor’s birthday). This is Sweetwater’s Christmas catch and release. Only made one day a year. It’s my first time finding it, and I have really enjoyed it.

This has become one of my new favorite beers. Beer and Bible study on the back porch while listening to A Prairie Home Companion make for a great Saturday evening.

More from the Sweetwater tour. Inside the giant cooler. It was so cold in there.

Back in April when I went to the Drive-By Truckers concert in Atlanta, I also did the Sweetwater Brewing Company’s brewery tour. It was a lot of fun. Not only do you get to tour the brewery, for ten bucks you get a Sweetwater pint glass and six tickets for the tasting room. They say you get a five ounce sample, but they were filling those glasses over halfway. And I love me some Sweetwater! They also have a deck with an outdoor stage and live music. The day we were there the band that was playing had a cool band name-Dr. Know-it-all and the Second Opinion. They were pretty good too.

26-year-old, 340 pound Lonneshia Shafaye Appling is trying to look all sexy in her mug shot here after being arrested after stealing bacon, beer, cheese, vegetable oil, and chicken wings from a Piggly Wiggly in Athens. She also spit at, punched, and pepper-sprayed store employees who tried to stop her. She asked the arresting officer to make his report sound more interesting so she could become a notable case in the police blotter.
